I found a very interesting website that rent out great toys!!! Check it out! It is based in Penang and has a delivery service throughout Peninsular Malaysia. I don't know if this company or website is reliable because I have yet rent from it.

My Baby Bump

One day i wanted to lay on my stomach-something was blocking my tummy and the floor so i try to shove it, guess what, it's my baby bump-haha. that was a hilarious.

My sister Puteh made me a pair of maternity pants. It felt so good on my tummy thank you sis. She told me she learned it from the internet. Well i browse some and there are many helpful to-do articles. One of those is this post on how to make maternity jeans.

I was lingering on my mom pregnancy record, she was having her 5th child and guess what's her weight just before the labour day: 58kg. Oh mom. If only you know how much i've gained. I have never imagine in my whole life i would reach 60kg--now the number is climbing. Its good not to have facebook for a while. i hate seeing my current image being tag etc. :)

I read it is not advices to sleep on your back especially when you are at the trimester stage. Your uterus are bigger and heavier and will cause muscle pains. (no wonder after a good sleep hour i woke up feeling worst than before) Back sleeping can also cause snoring (oooHH!!) read the what's the best sleeping position during pregnancy.

Last Night We were Busy Making Cards

P/S: i tried to sleep on my side- yes it was very hard-i am a back-sleeper. i tends to change positions multiple times last night. Thank goodness i woke up without muscle ache. In Islam we are advice to sleep on your right rib. This is because your heart is on your left and this will make you uncomfortable so you can easily wake up at the 2/3 of night to perform Tahajjud (Night Solat).  Tahajjud is one of the most great thing a muslim can do to earn Jannah(The Paradise). 

As a contrast, if you read the meditation article- they will advice you to sleep on your left rib so you will sleep longer and more comfort. So, if you intends to wake up during night to solat sleep on your right, may Allah bless you :) Don't forget to take a nap in the noon- that's another advice so you can have the energy to wake up the next Tahajjud.

Baby Baby Baby - what do you need?

I'm 5 months. The baby is yet to kick or scratch. But I know she's hungry all the time. :) Meanwhile, I've been browsing the internet and aisle to search for the essential newborn items. Friends and family have been very helpful sharing tips and article. There's a few things that i'm eying:

1. Baby cots - but since dad found my old baby cots he made for me looong time ago- i guess we can skip it and just refurnish the existing cot

2. Changing Table - my husband want to design the baby cots in the 1st place- but since reason #1 - maybe he will want to design a changing table? His original idea was an attaching cot+changing.

3. Newborn needs - For such a little human, you sure do need a bigger space.

  -newborn clothes: plenty to buy from- last minute shopping pun tak apa- pinjam sama merah lah

  -diapers - i'm into cloth diaper thing- been reading ans searching. this website is plentiful of infos: cloth diapers malaysia. If you are a newbie better check the website to prepare yourself. Anyway, prefold diapers are also suitable for newborn plus its cheap. Read it at CARA MUDAH & MURAH UNTUK CLOTH DIAPER BAYI BARU LAHIR  The best choice for newborns is the Prefolds + Snappi + Diaper Cover system. 

  -baby bathing and detergents etc: i'm opting for natural product- those without the harmful chemical. But it's very expensive mind you! otherwise go au-nature like what we can read from the herb books etc. If you have sensitive skin babies (eczema) you have no other option but go natural.

 -milking accessories - breast pump - storage - bottles etc. 

4. Oh ya strollers and car seat. i like the cheap skeleton stroller where you can fold it to put in the  trunk without much hassle. Yes i'm so awed by the great designer looking thousands costing stroller too. Hussh.
5. Since i chose  natural birthing- i'm yet to attend the hypnobirthing class. Or to find a certified midwives
6.I should also should join some breastfeeding counselling course held by Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia. I mean- i've always thought that breastfeeding is a natural hunch, all mom should've known this all the while no need no classes.But i also see lots of infants grew up from cow's milk (Merah ga ga ga). So perhaps a little knowledge is better. Tapi bilakah?

Natural Birth

Yes that's me and my dear husband

I'm 20weeks and counting. My due is around 20th July.

The most important decision is where the labour will take place. Instead of choosing hospitals and location, i'm more concern on choosing between a General Hospital (GH) or a Private Hospital. At first thought, Private seems more an exceptional option; less scary stories, less 'killing', less hassle, less waiting, etc.

But then, i think people are exaggerating about the GHs. It couldn't be thaaat bad? At least not at these modern age right? They might have improved more. My Mom delivered there, my aunties, my sisters, and a lot bunch of women who delivered there seem to be living perfect. Well except mom, she past away after the last birth- her 7th child.

I was delivered at home. mm. that seem to be another good option too.

Delivering at GH is much cheaper! A cesarean it will cost you a hundred plus for the government worker. 

The private will charge you double.. or triple... or more.... depends. They are people paid almost RM10K because of emergency case + Cesarean + admit at midnight + vacuum or epidural etc. RM10K per kid? Oih, i'm planning to have more like 5 or 7 kids. 

If you think 'Hey, why being stingy to for your own baby?'

But i'm more to,'Why being such a Baby?'

I'm doing do some homework about the procedures- about the private and GH, about the natural birth, about delivering at home!! 

At the moment i'm more concern about the episiotomy:
it seem everyone who give birth at GH had episiotomy -
and everyone at the private had either caeserian or epidural.
Why can't we give birth in a less stress way? In a more natural way? My sis in law told me her mom gave birth to her and her other 13 siblings at home. Even her sister delivered at home - five times. That's not in an ancient age. it's just a way back 4 to 5 years ago.  


So i did some internet research and walaaa ... guess what! natural birthing is still a current practice in a modern living happily married couple! 

(just to emphasize so we can make a different between the non married teen who give birth secretly with success or the unexpected birth in the car!)

The more i read and research, the more weird words because it's in English popping out from the screen. Can you guess any?

I think people have go forget the beautiful process of birthing. its's like fairytale. I think people are being feed with such horrible stories.


Many the women are having c-section- it's worrying because they looked perfectly healthy. Except the special cases where it concern the mom and baby's life- women should be given option to birth in the most natural way.  We need to educated ourselves more and more and do not depends on peoples assumption or medical advice 100%.
